Hugel launches botulinum toxin Letybo in India

2026-07-22
The company targets a 9% market share this year in India, the world’s largest and fastest-growing medical aesthetics market

Hugel, Inc., a leading global medical aesthetics company publicly traded in South Korea, announced the official launch of Letybo, its botulinum toxin product, in the Indian market at the Global Aesthetics Summit (GAS), held from July 19 to 21 at Taj Horizon in Goa, India.

India, home to world’s largest population of nearly 1.5 billion and a rapidly expanding middle class, is seeing steadily rising demand for medical aesthetics. Despite this growth, botulinum toxin procedure penetration remains relatively low, making the country a high-potential market. Hugel aims to accelerate its market expansion and capture a 9% share of India’s aesthetics market by the end of the year.

At the GAS conference, Hugel partnered with its local distributor, Aakaar Medical, to strengthen brand awareness and expand its network of key opinion leaders (KOLs). Benjamin Chan, an Australian KOL for Hugel and a speaker at the event, highlighted Letybo’s differentiated clinical profile by showcasing its narrow diffusion characteristics, which deliver more predictable treatment outcomes.

Hugel will continue its launch activities through July 24 in partnership with Aakaar Medical, hosting a series of launch events and hands-on workshops across India. The company also plans to further expand academic collaborations with KOLs and strengthen Letybo’s brand presence in the Indian market. Through its expansion in India, Hugel aims to broaden its footprint across the Asia-Pacific region and further reinforce Letybo’s position in the global aesthetics market.

“India is a market where interest in and demand for K-aesthetics continues to grow. We will actively capitalize on Hugel’s strengths as Korea’s leading botulinum toxin company for 10 consecutive years to expand our presence in the market,” said Daniel Chang, Korea CEO of Hugel. “Through our continued progress in India, we aim to establish a new growth driver for our global business.”
