ENVIRONMENTAL

Hugel practices sustainable management by reducing pollutants at our facilities and conserving energy resources.

Environmental

Hugel adopts advanced environmental management systems and maintains ongoing processes to achieve energy reduction and optimize waste and water resources. Furthermore, we conduct local environmental conservation activities to fulfill our social responsibilities.

Energy Saving

For energy saving and increased operational efficiency, LED lamps have been installed in all factories. Since 2013, the second factory has been equipped with a geothermal heating and cooling system, and a solar power generation system with a capacity of 90 kWh, producing an annual average of about 110,000 kWh of electricity.

Water Resource Management

Hugel actively manages water resources to ensure responsible water usage. In 2022, we expanded our wastewater treatment facilities to improve processing capacity and quality, allowing for the separate discharge of wastewater.

Waste Management

Our goal is to minimize waste generation across all manufacturing activities, from production to disposal, and to reduce incineration and landfill through thorough waste separation, discharge, and recycling efforts.

Environmental Contribution

To protect the urban environment Hugel collaborates with Chuncheon City on initiatives like the "Tree Planting Campaign".
