Hugel Inc., a leading global medical aesthetics company, said on Thursday that it won the Trade, Industry and Energy Minister’s Award for industrial technology protection at the 2024 Industry Security Conference in Seoul on November 26.

The company was highly recognized for its internal control and security activities to protect botulinum toxin technology, which is designated as a national core technology of South Korea, at the annual conference hosted by the country’s National Intelligence Service and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

Hugel consistently strengthens its company-wide security system, implements regular training and campaigns to raise employees’ security awareness and advances its human resources system to professionally deal with national core technology.

“We strive to preemptively respond to the risk of industrial technology divulgence, which emerges across industries, and build safe systems to minimize security blind spots. Hugel will continue its efforts for well-designed and advanced security systems and business environment optimization,” a Hugel official said.
